Updating the Firmware of the 6-Axis Robotic Arm in Web-Based VEXcode EXP

Your 6-Axis Robotic Arm's firmware can be updated within VEXcode EXP. To do so, make sure you have first powered on your 6-Axis Arm, directly connected the 6-Axis Arm to your computer, and connected the 6-Axis Arm to VEXcode EXP.

To connect your 6-Axis Arm to VEXcode EXP, go to the article that matches the device you are currently using:

In VEXcode EXP in an Arm project, a connected 6-Axis Arm will be either green or orange in the top right corner of the page. An orange icon indicates that the firmware is currently out of date.

Selecting the icon will show you the 6-Axis Arm's current firmware version. Select Update.

Wait for the progress bar to finish. Make sure to not click off the current webpage until the update is over.

Once the update is complete, you'll be prompted to reconnect your 6-Axis Arm to VEXcode EXP. Select OK.

After reconnecting your 6-Axis Arm to VEXcode EXP, you'll see the 6-Axis Arm icon in the top right of the screen turn green to show the firmware is now up to date.
