Connecting a 6-Axis Robotic Arm to Web-Based VEXcode EXP – Windows

To connect a 6-Axis Robotic Arm to VEXcode EXP, you must first power on your 6-Axis Arm, and directly connect the 6-Axis Arm to your computer.

Open VEXcode EXP and open a new Arm project.

The 6-Axis Arm icon in the top right of the screen will be white, showing that no 6-Axis Arm is currently connected. Select this icon.

When selected, a new window will open. Select Connect Arm to start connecting your 6-Axis Arm to VEXcode EXP.

Select Continue.

Select the port named 6-Axis Arm Communications Port. The number does not matter.

Once the correct port is highlighted, select Connect to finish connecting the 6-Axis Robotic Arm.

The 6-Axis Arm icon will turn green, this indicates that the 6-Axis Arm is successfully connected and its firmware is up to date.

If the 6-Axis Arm icon is orange, that means the firmware is out of date. Read this article to learn how to update your 6-Axis Arm's firmware.
