A VEX GO build, such as the Code Base, can be controlled using a linked One Stick Controller. This article will show you how to pair the Controller to a VEX GO Brain and how to control your build using the default drive program.
Pairing the One Stick Controller to the GO Brain
Before you begin, make sure the GO Brain is using the most up-to-date firmware from beta-code.vex.com, and that both the GO Brain and the One Stick Controller are charged and powered on, to prevent disruptions during the pairing process. For more information, view the following articles:

Note: The pairing of a One Stick Controller and GO Brain is temporary. Once the devices are powered off, the pairing process must be repeated to re-establish the connection.
This video demonstrates how to pair the controller with the GO Brain by:
- Double-tapping the power button on the Brain
- Double-tapping the power button on the controller
Both the lights on both will turn yellow, then begin to blink green. It may take up to 30 seconds for the lights to begin blinking.
Updating the One Stick Controller's Firmware
Once the controller is paired, connect the GO Brain to VEXcode GO on beta-code.vex.com to check for a firmware update.
VEXcode GO will automatically detect if the controller's firmware is out of date. Follow the instructions to pair the One Stick Controller, beginning by selecting Connect and Update .
The controller's firmware will begin to update. During this process, the controller's power button will blink red and green.
If the update process is disrupted for any reason, an error message will appear. If this happens, disconnect and reconnect the GO Brain, then try again.
