Connecting with Web-based VEXcode 123 on Windows

To begin coding the VEX 123 Robot, you'll first need to connect it to VEXcode 123. Below are the steps for connecting and disconnecting the robot.

Connect a VEX 123 Robot to VEXcode 123

Turn on the 123 Robot by pushing the 123 Robot along a surface to “wake” it, as shown in this animation.

Select the Robot icon Toolbar.

Select Connect.

A dialogue box will open. Select the name of the 123 Robot that you want to connect to VEXcode 123.

Select Pair after choosing your robot.

The Robot icon will turn orange and a Connecting to: message will appear while the Robot is connecting.

Once the 123 Robot is connected the Robot icon will turn green. The message in the window will say Connected to: and the name of the Robot that is connected to VEXcode 123.

Underneath the Connected to: message, there is an icon that displays the battery level of the 123 Robot.

The battery indicator displays one of three colors to show the current charge level.

  • Red - Low battery.
  • Yellow - Medium battery.
  • Green - Full battery.

Disconnect a VEX 123 Robot from VEXcode 123

Select Disconnect to disconnect your 123 Robot from VEXcode 123.
