Using the VEX Classroom App with the Coder – VEX Library

The VEX Classroom app is a useful tool that allows users to get started quickly.

Navigate to your device’s app store and search for ‘VEX Classroom’ to download the app if you have not already done so.

Updating the Coder Firmware

The firmware on one or multiple Coders can be updated using the VEX Classroom app.

To rename a single Coder, select the Coder that is to be renamed.

Select ‘Rename.’

Enter the new name of the Coder. Note that only letters, numbers, and spaces are accepted.

Once finished, select Save Name.

The new name will then display.

A Coder can be located using the app. The location feature identifies a specific Coder by making the indicator light on the Coder flash yellow.

To locate a Coder, select the Locate button beside the Coder that is to be located, and look for the Coder with the light flashing yellow.

The state of each Coder’s Battery is listed. This can be used to monitor the Battery life of one or more Coder’s within range.

Coder Cards currently in the Coder can be viewed in the Classroom App.

Select Read Cards on the Coder's Device Info screen.

All the Coder Cards currently inserted in the Coder will be displayed.
