Get Started with a GO Kit (with Storage)

Get Organized

Your VEX GO Kit with Storage comes presorted in the clear-lidded, stackable boxes, saving you from having to sort and organize the pieces yourself. Every classroom is different, but here are some organizing tips that can help you get started:

  • Label Your Kits - if you have one Kit with Storage, it’s a good idea to label both boxes with your classroom or your name. If you have multiple Kits with Storage, label the boxes (Kit 1, Kit 2, etc.) so that they stay together when students are using them.
  • Label Your Brains - if you have multiple Kits with Storage in your classroom, take a moment to label each Kit and the Brain with the same name. With a sticker label or piece of tape and a marker, making the name of the Brain clear will help students when they need to connect their VEX GO Brain to their devices.
    • You will be able to Rename the Brain using the VEX Classroom App, so you can choose any name you like, or use student names if you know the groupings that you will be assigning. (Read on to learn more about the VEX Classroom App).

Charge Your Battery

Each Kit with Storage contains a VEX GO Battery and Charger. The charging cable may not be in the parts storage box itself, but will be included in the box your order ships in. You should charge your battery so that it is ready for use. Read the Using the VEX GO Battery VEX Library article as a guide for how to charge your battery and to learn what the different indicator lights mean.

Using VEXcode GO

To install VEXcode GO, or access the browser link, visit code.vex.com and select 'Download.'
