Using the VEX GO Motors

Using a Motor with the Brain allows you to bring the VEX GO system to life with programming.

Use a Motor With the Brain

Using a Motor with the Brain allows you to program the Motor using VEXcode GO.

Connect a Motor to the Brain by inserting the Motor Cable into one of the four Smart Ports on the Brain.

Ensure that the Motor Cable is fully inserted into the Smart Port on the Brain. A ‘click’ sound will ensure that the cable is seated fully into the Smart Port.

To control a Motor with the Brain, ensure a Motor and Battery are connected to the Brain.

Then, program the Motor using VEXcode GO. View the Configure a Robot Arm article to learn more about blocks from the ‘Motion’ category in VEXcode GO.

VEXcode GO with the Brain icon on the Taskbar lit up green to indicate that a robot is connected, and the Blocks Toolbox opened to the Motion category.
