Using the Playground Features in VEXcode VR

A Playground is a virtual space for your VR Robot to interact and move. VEXcode VR includes numerous different Playgrounds.


Select a Playground

To select a Playground, select the Select Playground button.

A page will appear, showing all of the Playgrounds currently available in VEXcode VR.

Each Playground will indicate which license levels have access to it. For example, Coral Reef Cleanup is available to:

  • Free — White icon
  • Enhanced — Gray Icon
  • Premium — Gold Icon

Teams competing in the Virtual Skills competition can also access the Playgrounds associated with the current season’s V5RC or VIQRC games.

After selecting a Playground, the toolbox will update to display the available Blocks or Python methods for that Playground, and the Playground window will open automatically.

You can also see the license level in the icon at the top-left corner of VEXcode. In this screenshot, the icon shows a Premium license is in use.


Run a Project

Start button to run the project in the VEXcode VR Playground

To run a project in a Playground, you can select the Start button at the top of VEXcode VR.

The Playground window will open, and the project will begin playing immediately.

If the Playground window is already open, you can run your project by selecting the Start button within the window.

Stop a Project

To stop a running project in a Playground window, you can select the Stop button at the top of VEXcode VR.

You can also stop a project by selecting the Stop button within the Playground window.
