Installing VEXcode Pro V5 on macOS

The VEX Visual Studio Code Extension has replaced VEXcode Pro V5, which is now end-of-life.

VEXcode Blocks and VEXcode Text remain actively developed and supported for all VEX platforms.

First, download VEXcode Pro V5 if you have not done so already.

Launch the VEXcode Installer Package

Double-click on the VEXcode Pro V5.dmg file.

Double-click on the VEXcodeProV5.pkg icon.

Continue Past the Introduction

Click on the "Continue" button.

Read the License Agreement

Read through the End User License Agreement and click on the "Continue" button.

Accept the License Agreement

Click on the "Agree" button to accept the license agreement and continue on with the installation.

Select Installation Type

Click the "Install" button.

Grant Permission to Install

Grant permission to install VEXcode Pro V5 by entering your login credentials and clicking the "Install Software" button.

Wait for the installer to finish installing the files.

Finish Installation

Click the "close" button to finish the installation of VEXcode Pro V5

Move the Installer to the Trash

MacOS will give you the option of moving the VEXcode Pro V5 installer to the trash. Click on the "Move to Trash" button to delete the VEXcode Pro V5 installer, otherwise click "Keep" if you plan on using the installer again.

Launch VEXcode Pro V5

Navigate to the Applications folder and double-click on the VEXcode Pro V5 icon to launch the application.

Create a New Project

Create a new project to get started with coding in VEXcode Pro V5 by selecting "New" from the "File" menu.
