Installing VEXcode V5 4.x with MSI Installers

The following article will walk you through how to install VEXcode V5 version 4.x with MSI installers.

MSI installers are created to assist IT Administrators with site-wide deployments. If you are not an IT Administrator, go here for information on how to install VEXcode V5 with the normal installer.

Note: Drivers are automatically included with the MSI Installer.


Steps for Installation

  1. If you are using a remote deployment system such as SCCM you may need to install the Driver Signing Certificates before running the driver installer.
    1. Download these four certificate files:
      1. Certificate 1
      2. Certificate 2
      3. Certificate 3
      4. Certificate 4
    2. Certs can be installed with the following commands using Microsoft’s certutil command.

      certutil -addstore "TrustedPublisher" RobomatterIncCert.cer
      certutil -addstore "TrustedPublisher" VEXRoboticsCert20.cer
      certutil -addstore "TrustedPublisher" VEXroboticsCert23.cer
      certutil -addstore "TrustedPublisher" VEXRoboticsCertExp2026.cer
  2. Go to the VEXcode V5 installation page to download the latest MSI Installer.
    VEXcode V5 Download options for Desktop including Windows, Mac Intel, and Mac Apple Silicon platforms. Two links below the Windows download button read MSI (For IT) and MSI Help, and the links are highlighted.
     
  3. You are now able to use the downloaded MSI Installer to deploy VEXcode V5 systemwide.
