Accessing VIQRC Virtual Skills with a Virtual Skills Key – VEX Library

Each VEX IQ Robotics Competition (VIQRC) registered team is provided a Virtual Skills Key for accessing VIQRC Virtual Skills. This article explains how to access both Virtual Coding Skills, and Virtual Driving Skills.

Finding Your Team's Virtual Skills Key

To find your team’s Virtual Skills Key, go to RobotEvents.com.

1. Select Login.

The Robot Events website is shown with the login fields to enter your Email Address and Password highlighted. There is a blue Login button in the lower left corner that is also highlighted.

2. Enter the email address and password associated with your Robot Events account. Then select the Login button.

3. Once you have logged into your account, select My Teams from the account navigation.

4. Here you will see a list of your registered teams with their Virtual Skills Keys.

No key listed? Make sure that your team’s registration has been renewed for the current season.

Note: The Virtual Skills Key is specific for each team. If you have multiple teams, make sure to record which Key goes with each team.

Accessing Virtual Coding Skills

To practice coding with Virtual Coding Skills, you must first enter your team's Virtual Skills Key at vr.vex.com using a Chrome browser.

Note: The Virtual Skills Key can be used by multiple members of the same team.

Prompt window that reads Welcome to VEXcode VR is shown. At the bottom of the pop up window, below the buttons for Students and Educators, there is a highlighted option that reads Have a VR Class Code? Login Here.

When VEXcode VR is launched, you may see this window. Select 'Login Here' to launch the login window.

If you do not see the window above, select File then Login Code in order to launch the login window.

Enter your team number into the login window.

Login prompt that reads Enter Class Code or Team Number. The Team Number has been entered, and below a text field the enter the team's Virtual Skills Key is highlighted.

Once the team number is entered, a space will appear to enter the Virtual Skills Key.

Note: The Virtual Skills Key is not case-sensitive.

After entering both a Team Number and Virtual Skills Key, select Submit to complete the login process.

Once logged in, the icon in the top left corner will turn white and blue.

Accessing Virtual Driving Skills

VEX VIQRC Virtual Driving Skills Practice page. Underneath the Connection and Drive Mode settings, there is a Driving Skills Practice login window with fields for the Team Number and the Virtual Skills Key.

Launch VIQRC Driving Skills Practice by navigating to VIQRC Driving Skills Practice on a Chrome browser.

Enter your team number and your team's Virtual Skills Key.

Once your Team Number and Virtual Skills Key are entered, select Login.
