V5 Portable Competition Field Packing Instructions

The following article will walk you through how to pack the VEX Competition Portable Field and the associated Field Tiles into the provided cases.

The image below shows the locations of each individual part.

Field Case 1

1. First, place the bottom extrusions into the main storage, stacking them four wide and three high. See orientation shown to the right.

2. Next, place the eight longer panels on top of the extrusions.
Note: There are four short panels and eight long panels. The four shorter panels will be placed into Field Case 2.

3. Place the short extrusions into the Zippered Pouches 1 and 2. Use the orientation shown in the two figures to the right.

4. Place the straps into each pouch. The packed Field Case 1 should look like the image shown to the right.

5. Ensure the zippers for the pouches as well as the Field Case itself are secured, and the buckles are attached.

Field Case 2

1. First, place the extrusions with the GPS code into the Main Storage, stacking them four wide and three high. See orientation shown to the right.
Note: Loading the extrusion in sequential order will help with assembly later on.

2. Place the T connectors into Pouch 2. Place them in the orientation shown to the right. Most will fit in Pouch 2, 2 T connectors will have to fit into Pouch 1.

3. Place the corner connectors into Pouch 1. Place them in the orientation shown to the right.

4. Lastly, put the remaining four shorter panels on top of the extrusions in the Main Storage.

5. Ensure the zippers for the pouches as well as the Field Case itself are secured, and the buckles are attached.

Field Tile Case

1.  Load 18 VRC Anti-Static Field Tiles into one Field Tile Case.

There are 36 total tiles per field, with 18 per case.

2. The loaded Field Tile Case can be attached to the Field Case for ease of transportation.

To attach the Field Tile Case to the Field Case, feed the Field Case’s bottom strap through the loop located on the back of the Field Tile Case.
Buckle the Field Case’s bottom strap once threaded through the Field Tile Case to Secure the two.

3.  Thread the Field Case’s top buckle through the Field Tile Case’s two handles to further secure the two.
