Viewing Device Info - IQ Brain (1st gen)

You can use the Device Info on the VEX IQ (1st gen) Brain to view data for a connected motor or sensor.

Brain screen is shown in the Programs menu, with the X for Settings button highlighted in the bottom right.

Use the X Button to navigate to the Settings menu.

Brain screen is shown in the Settings menu with the Device Info option highlighted. Device Info is the second option in the list, below System Info.

Use the Up and Down buttons on the Brain to select Device Info to open the Device Menu. The Device Menu screen displays information about the device that is connected to that port. There are 12 ports on the IQ (1st gen) Brain.

Brain screen is shown in the Device Menu. In this example, the Port 11 Motor data is shown, with Speed as 0 rpm, Angle as 0, and Turns as 0. Below a message reads 'Press Check button starts motor'. At the bottom of the screen, icons indicate that the arrow buttons can be used to scroll and the X button can be used to exit the Device Menu.

If there is more than one data type reported by the connected device, you can use the Check button to scroll through the data options.

In this example image, the Motor can show speed, angle, or turns.
