Connecting to the Brain with Web-Based VEXcode EXP - Chromebook

It takes just a few steps to connect a VEX EXP Brain to Web-based VEXcode EXP on Chromebook.

How To Connect a VEX EXP Brain from Web-based VEXcode EXP on a Chromebook

Be sure the EXP Battery is charged and is connected to the EXP Brain.

Turn on the Brain by pressing the Check button on the Brain.

Connect the EXP Brain to your Chromebook, using the USB-C cable.

Note: Your EXP Brain must remain plugged into your Chromebook throughout the connection process.

Launch web-based VEXcode EXP by navigating to codeexp.vex.com

Select the Brain icon in the Toolbar.

Select ‘Connect'.

A text box will appear and explain that you should choose the Brain that has lowest ID number. Select 'Continue' on the text box to open the connection window.

Select the EXP Brain with the lowest ID number from the list of Brains available.

Select the ‘Connect’ button, once you have chosen the lowest numbered EXP Brain ID.

Once the EXP Brain is successfully connected the Brain icon will turn green.

If the connection was unsuccessful, another text box will appear and prompt you to select the Brain with the different ID number.


To Disconnect a VEX EXP Brain from Web-based VEXcode EXP on Chromebook

To disconnect your device from an EXP Brain, unplug the USB-C cable from your Chromebook or the EXP Brain.
