Connecting an EXP Brain to Computer via USB

It takes just a few steps to connect a VEX EXP Brain to App-Based VEXcode EXP on your Windows or Mac computer. First, you will need to be sure you have all the components.

You will need the following:

  • A USB-C cable (either USB-C to USB-C, or USB-C to USB-A, depending on your device)
  • An EXP Brain
  • An EXP Battery
  • A Windows or Mac Computer

After you have gathered your components, complete the following:

Insert the battery into the EXP Brain.

Connect the USB-C cable to the EXP Brain.

Connect the other end of the USB cable to the Computer’s USB port.

Launch app-based VEXcode EXP

A successful connection is confirmed when the Brain Status Icon in the Toolbar is green.
