Using VEX IQ (1st generation)? See this article.

The LED indicator lights on the side of a VEX IQ (2nd generation) Battery indicates the amount of charge the Battery currently has.

IQ (2nd gen) Battery with its 4 indicator lights highlighted with a red box. The lights are on the side of the Battery below the latch.

View this animation to see how to check the Battery level using the Battery's indicator lights. In the animation, the small button next to the 4 indicator lights is pressed. Only one light glows, which indicates that the Battery level is between 0% and 25%.

    • 1 light = 0-25% charge
    • 2 lights = 25-50% charge
    • 3 lights = 50-75% charge
    • 4 lights = 75-100% charge

While charging, the Battery's current charge level will be displayed via the indicator lights and the next light will blink.

For example, if a Battery is at 15% charge, LED 1 will be on and solid colored, and the second LED will be blinking to show that the Battery is charging. This is also shown in the animation to the left. First the charging cord is connected to the Battery's charging port, and then the Battery is turned to view the blinking indicator lights. One light is solid and the next light is blinking.
