Calibrating the Controller - IQ (2nd gen) – VEX Library

Complete the following steps to pair the Controller and the EXP Brain.

Step 1: Pair the Controller and Brain.

Controller next to a Brain and connected to it. Three features are highlighted: The Controller's indicator light, the Brain's indicator light, and the Brain screen's Controller icon.

Ensure that your Controller and Brain are paired. See this article for information on how to pair your (2nd generation) Brain and Controller.

Step 2: Select Settings on the Home Screen.

Brain screen is shown in the Home menu with the Settings option selected. Settings is the fourth option in the Home menu. Above, the Controller icon is highlighted to indicate that it is connected.

Verify that the Controller is connected by noticing the connected icon on the top of the screen.

Once Settings is highlighted, press the Check button to select.

Step 3: Then, select Calibrate.

Brain screen is shown in the Settings menu with the Calibrate option selected. Calibrate is the third option in the Settings menu.

Press the X button to navigate back to the Settings screen.

Press the left or right buttons until you see the Calibrate option, and select it by pressing the Check button.

Step 4: Move the Joysticks.

Brain screen is shown in the Calibrate menu. There is a diagram of the Controller indicating that both joysticks should be moved clockwise in a full circle.

Step 5: Save the Calibration.

Brain screen is shown in the Calibrate menu after calibration. There is a diagram of the Controller with a green checkmark for each joystick and the E-Up button highlighted.

After moving the joysticks, you will see two green checks and the E-Up button will blink on the screen. Press the E-Up button to save your calibration.
