Finding Your Team's Virtual Skills Key

Each VEX Robotics Competition registered team is provided a Virtual Skills Key for accessing Virtual Skills. This article explains how to access both Virtual Coding Skills, and Virtual Driving Skills.


Finding Your Team's Virtual Skills Key

To find your team’s Virtual Skills Key, go to RobotEvents.com.

1. Select Login.

2. Enter the email address and password associated with your Robot Events account. Then select the Login button.

3. Once you have logged into your account, select My Teams from the account navigation.

4. Here you will see a list of your registered teams with their Virtual Skills Keys.

No key listed? Make sure that your team’s registration has been renewed for the current season.

Note: The Virtual Skills Key is specific for each team. If you have multiple teams, make sure to record which Key goes with each team.


Accessing Virtual Coding Skills

To practice coding with Virtual Coding Skills, you must first enter your team's Virtual Skills Key at vr.vex.com using a Chrome browser.

Note: The Virtual Skills Key can be used by multiple members of the same team.

When VEXcode VR is launched, you may see this window. Select 'Login Here' to launch the login window.

If you do not see the window above, select File then Login Code in order to launch the login window.

Enter a Class Code or Team Number to access Virtual Skills

Enter your team number into the login window.

Once the team number is entered, a space will appear to enter the Virtual Skills Key.

Note: The Virtual Skills Key is not case-sensitive.

After entering both a Team Number and Virtual Skills Key, select Submit to complete the login process.

Once logged in, the icon in the top left corner will turn white and blue for VEX IQ Robotics Competition teams and white and red for VEX V5 Robotics Competition teams.

Then you can begin coding your robot!

Accessing Virtual Driving Skills

Driving Skills Practice sign-in with Team Number and Virtual Skills Key fields.

Launch Virtual Driving Skills Practice by navigating to vrskills.vex.com on a Chrome browser and selecting your competition's Virtual Driving Skills Practice.

VIQRC is shown here as an example.

Once your Team Number and Virtual Skills Key are entered, select Login.
