To begin coding the VEX AIR Drone, you'll first need to connect the paired VEX AIR Drone Controller to VEXcode AIR. Below are the steps for connecting the controller via a USB-C connection.

Turn on the controller by pressing and holding the Power button until the indicator LED begins flashing white, then release. This animation shows this process.
Use a USB-C cable to connect the VEX AIR Drone Controller to a computer.
Connecting to Web-Based VEXcode AIR
To access web-based VEXcode AIR, navigate to codeair.vex.com in a Chrome browser.
Select the Controller icon in the top right corner.
Select Connect via USB from the menu.

A prompt will appear based on your device. Select Continue.

- macOS/Chromebook: Select the robot with the LOWEST ID number from the list.
- Windows: Select the option with Communications Port.

Select Connect once your choice is highlighted.
The Controller icon in the upper right corner of VEXcode AIR will now appear green.
Connecting to App-Based VEXcode AIR
Once the controller is connected to the computer, and VEXcode AIR is opened, the controller will automatically connect. The Controller icon in the upper right corner of VEXcode AIR will appear green.
