Viewing Vision Sensor Data on the V5 Brain

You can view real-time data from the Vision Sensor on the Brain with pre-configured color signatures.

Access Vision Sensor Data

Brain screen is shown in the Home menu with the Devices option highlighted.

Select Devices from the Home menu.

Brain screen is shown in the Device Info menu which has a list of all of the Brain's Smart Ports and connected devices. The Vision Sensor icon in the Device Info menu is highlighted to indicate that it can be selected to open its information menu.

Select the port that the Vision Sensor is connected to. In this case, it is Port 1.

Brain screen is shown in the Vision Sensor menu that lists the sensor's data. The menu reports data of an object's color, brightness, and signature ID. The menu also has a diagram that visualizes the detected objects as colored rectangles and lists their positions. In this screenshot, there is one object detected. The object's Color is Red, its Brightness is Normal, and its Signature ID is Signature 1.

Any objects that match the pre-configured color signatures will now show up on the screen.

Pressing the Object Brightness button changes the brightness of the pre-configured color signature.

This can can improve detection accuracy under current lighting conditions. Available brightness levels are:

  • Normal
  • Light
  • Dark

You can change which pre-configured Color Signature to look for by pressing the Object Color button. Available color signatures are:

  • Red
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Yellow
