Field Coordinates

In VRC Virtual Skills, the Hero Bot for this year, is equipped with a GPS Sensor that reports its location and angle. The GPS Sensor reports the (X, Y) coordinates of the center of rotation of the Hero Bot on the Field, in millimeters or inches. This can be used to code the Hero Bot to drive to specific locations, and navigate the VRC Virtual Skills Field using sensor feedback instead of set distances.

The Field in VRC Virtual Skills ranges from approximately -1800mm to 1800mm for the X and Y positions.

The center location, or the origin (0,0), is located in the center of the Field.
