Opening and Saving VEXcode 123 Projects on Chromebook

Google has announced the discontinuation of support for Chrome Apps on Chromebooks starting in January 2025. As a result, Chrome Apps, including the VEXcode 123 App, will no longer be visible in the Chrome Web Store or functional after that date. While the VEXcode 123 App will remain available until this change takes effect, we encourage users to transition to the Web-based version of VEXcode 123 well in advance. Go to Opening and Saving VEXcode 123 Projects on Chrome Browser to learn how to open and save projects on the Chrome Browser.

Create a New Project

A new project opens when VEXcode 123 is opened. But, a new project can also be opened from the File Menu.

When creating a new project, a prompt will appear asking to save if the current project has not already been saved. See the ‘Save a Project’ section for details on how to save a project.
