Using VEX V5 Workcell Example Projects in VEXcode V5

Example projects are a great resource if you are just getting started with coding the V5 Workcell in VEXcode V5, and want to explore different behaviors and functionality of the V5 Workcell. Example projects also allow you to observe how different blocks in VEXcode V5 are used.

To open an Example Project, select the File menu and choose ‘Open Examples.’

Icons for many different Example Projects will be shown. Each icon represents a different project and are colored according to the block categories. The Filter bar can be used to quickly find a specific type of example. Select the ‘Arm’ filter to view Example Projects made specifically for the V5 Workcell.

To open any example, select one from the menu.

Blocks for the Example Project will populate in the Workspace. These blocks and their parameters can be changed or removed. Additional blocks can be added to modify the Example Project.

Note that the Example Project opens with all its devices already pre-configured.

Your device assignments may be configured differently based on if you use the "Standard Config" or a "Custom Config"
