AI Challenge Field Assembly

Before the AI System can operate, the AI Challenge Field will need to be assembled.

Parts of the AI System

There are numerous parts in the VEX AI System. There are enough pieces for two V5 Robots.

Connect and Power the Jetson

The Jetson is a crucial part of the VEX AI System that runs devices including the FLIR and Intel Cameras. Before the Jetson can be functional, the devices used with it first need to be connected and the Jetson needs to be powered on.

Install the Intel Dual Band Wi-Fi and Antennas

Before the Jetson can function properly, the Intel Dual Band Wi-Fi and Antennas need to be installed.

Focusing the FLIR Camera

Focusing the FLIR Camera is important to ensure that it sees the Code Strip on the field. This is used to determine the orientation of the robot while on the field. If the FLIR Camera is out of focus, the reported orientation of the robot may not be accurate.

Accessing the Dashboard

Accessing the Dashboard of the VEX AI Intel Camera gives you insight into where the robot is on the field as well as what game pieces are in front of it.
