Using the VEX GO Switch

Using the Switch allows you to bring the VEX GO system to life without programming.


Use the Switch With a Motor

Using a Motor with the Switch allows you to control the Motor without the need for programming.

There are two ports on the Switch. A Smart Port to connect a Motor or LED Bumper and an orange Battery Port to connect a Battery.

Connect a Motor to the Switch by inserting the Motor Cable into the Smart Port on the Switch.

Ensure that the Motor Cable is fully inserted into the Smart Port on the Switch. A ‘click’ sound will ensure that the cable is seated fully into the Smart Port.

To control a Motor with the Switch, ensure a Motor and Battery are connected to the Switch.

There are three settings on the Switch

‘+’ : rotates the Motor in the forward direction.

Neutral: turns the Motor off.

Switch piece with the lever turned to the reverse setting marked with a minus sign.

‘-’ : rotates the Motor in the reverse direction.

Use the Switch With the LED Bumper

Connect the LED Bumper to the Switch by inserting the LED Bumper Cable into the Smart Port on the Switch.

Ensure that the LED Bumper Cable is fully inserted into the Smart Port on the Switch. A ‘click’ sound will ensure that the cable is seated fully into the Smart Port.
