Configuring a VEX GO Robot Arm

When starting to create a project in VEXcode GO, the Motion, Magnet, and Eye Sensing blocks will not appear in the Toolbox until a Robot Arm has been configured.

You can only configure one build per project.

Note: This configuration can be used for the Code Robot Arm (1-Axis) or Code Robot Arm (2-Axis) builds. Please note that the Code Robot Arm (1-Axis) build only includes the Base Motor, but the Arm Motor will still appear in the Motion blocks and in the Devices window.

Once the Robot Arm is selected, a list of ports will appear. Check that all assigned ports match your finished build. This list does NOT include the Eye Sensor, which should be plugged into the Eye Sensor Port on the GO Brain.

Note: If you have built the Code Robot Arm (1-Axis), your GO Brain will not have a motor plugged into Port 1. You will still be able to use the Motion blocks to control the Base Motor.

Select ‘DONE’ to complete the configuration or ‘CANCEL’ to return back to the Devices menu.

Note: Selecting “Cancel” will close the Robot Arm Configuration and take you back to the Devices window with no devices configured.

Now that the Robot Arm has been configured, the Motion and Magnet block categories and Eye Sensing blocks will appear in the Toolbox.
