Anatomy of a GO Activity
Your VEX GO classroom is a multifaceted learning environment, enabling students and teachers to have hands-on, minds-on learning experiences through multiple avenues. VEX GO STEM Labs offer teachers complete Units designed for whole-class instruction, while VEX GO Activities extend that learning by giving students the opportunity to make their GO builds and kits their own. GO Activities are designed to be used both in conjunction with STEM Labs, and as stand-alone activities themselves.

GO Activities are Ideal for Learning Centers
If your classroom utilizes student learning centers during the day, your VEX GO Kit and the GO Activities can serve as their own center. Students can choose activities on their own, to explore and experiment according to their interests and questions. Or, the teacher can choose specific activities to highlight a particular build or concept for students to continue to practice and extend their learning. GO activities are designed for independent student use, but are flexible enough to be used by partners or small groups. With their curricular connections, GO Activities can also be used to practice skills, like multiplication or grammar, in fun and exciting ways.

GO Activities Give Focus to Free Building
Students enjoy the act of building with the GO Kit, but giving free access to all of its pieces can be overwhelming. Some GO Activities offer creative build opportunities, while providing parameters for students to work within. Flex your creative design and building muscles, in order to accomplish a goal.

GO Activities Extend the Use of Your Builds
Many GO Activities also use existing build instructions, and put a new spin on them. Turn your Clock build into a Brain Break spinner, or use your Super Car to practice multiplication. When used in this way, GO Activities can be extension activities within the context of a STEM Lab, or as a focus for a day or a week in a learning center. This also enables the teacher to differentiate instruction for students across a range of student needs.
