Accessing the V5 Brain Event Log

The Event Log on the V5 Brain can be used to help troubleshoot an issue by checking useful diagnostics information. The Event Log will include information such as project execution, project download, or project stop actions. The Event Log will also log hardware events such as the V5 Controller losing link to the V5 Brain, a Smart Device being disconnected, and also any battery notifications as well.

To access the Event Log, first turn on the V5 Brain by pressing and holding the power button. Once the V5 Brain has turned on, select the Devices menu.

Once in the Devices Info screen, you can select the Brain Icon:

And once the information page for the Brain appears, select "VIEW" under the "Event Log" heading:

The Event Log will now be shown. Each event log item will be listed with a timestamp - the time stamp is the amount of time that has elapsed since the V5 Brain has been powered on. You can use the arrows on the right side of the screen to scroll through the Event Log messages.
