Downloading and Running a Blocks Project in VEXcode V5

Downloading and running a project with VEXcode V5 is as easy as four steps.

First, save the project ( MacOS, Windows, or ChromeOS) and choose which of the Brain’s slots to download to.

Next, connect the Brain and check that its icon is green and the Download and other icons are white.

Then, select Download to download the project to the Brain’s selected slot.

Note: The Download, Run, and Stop icons will turn briefly gray until the download is complete.

Finally, select Run to start the project while your robot is still connected to your computer.

V5 Brain is shown in a user program's menu. The Run button is highlighted, and the program's name reads Greeting.

Or, disconnect the robot from the computer and run the project by selecting it on the Brain.

Note: The main menu screen only shows slots 1, 2, and 3. For programs that are downloaded to slots 4-8, first select the "Programs" folder.

Select your program.
