Mounting and Wiring the V5 Brain

Collect needed parts

Workspace with all of the items needed to mount and wire the V5 Brain. The items include a charged V5 Robot Battery, a V5 Robot Brain, a chassis with space for the V5 Brain, and 4 Connector Pins.

You will need the following items to mount the V5 Robot Brain:

  • A charged V5 Robot Battery
  • A V5 Robot Brain
  • A chassis with enough space to mount the V5 Robot Brain
  • 4 Connector Pins to mount the V5 Robot Brain to the chassis

Mount the V5 Robot Brain using the Connector Pins

V5 Brain is shown mounted to the chassis. A diagram in the corner indicates that Connector Pins can be used to mount the V5 Brain using the holes on its side.

Hold the V5 Robot Brain where you want it to be mounted on your chassis.

Use the Connector Pins to mount the V5 Robot Brain to the chassis using the holes on the sides of the brain.

NOTE: The V5 Robot Brain can also be mounted using the included flanges, or threaded holes on the back of the brain.

Connect the V5 Robot Battery to the V5 Robot Brain

V5 Brain is shown connected to the V5 Robot Battery using its battery port. The Robot Battery is also mounted to the chassis.

Connect the V5 Robot Battery by plugging it into the battery port.

Connect devices to the V5 Robot Brain

V5 Brain is shown connected to devices on the chassis using its Smart Ports. In this example the V5 Clawbot is being built so the chosen Smart Ports correspond to that build.

Connect your devices to the proper ports on the V5 Robot Brain.
