Changing the Backlight Percentage on the V5 Brain – VEX Library

Make sure the V5 Robot Brain is on

Turn on the V5 Robot Brain by pressing and holding the Home button on the brain.

Select the Settings icon

Tap on the Settings icon as highlighted by the red rectangle.

Select the Backlight setting

Brain screen is shown in the Settings menu with the Backlight option highlighted. This menu has many options that can be customized. The options in this screenshot read Language English, Start at Home, Backlight 100%, Theme Dark, Rotation Normal, and Radio VEXnet. There are also system options on the right that read Reset settings, Delete programs, and Regulatory.

Tap on the Backlight setting as highlighted by the red rectangle.

Continue to tap until you reach your desired setting.
