Downloading, Running, and Stopping a VEXcode AIM Project

When your VEX AIM Coding Robot is connected to VEXcode AIM, you can download, run, and stop a project on your robot in VEXcode AIM. To learn more about how to connect your robot to VEXcode AIM, view these articles.

Once your robot is connected, the Robot icon will show green, and the Download, Run, and Stop buttons in the upper right hand corner of the VEXcode AIM Toolbar will become active.

Downloading a project

To download a project to your robot, select the Download button in VEXcode AIM.

A prompt that reads Would you like to save your project? is shown, with the Ok button in the lower right corner highlighted.

If you have not yet saved your project, you will be prompted to save it. Select OK to save your project to your device. To learn more about saving a project, view this article.

You will see a progress bar appear when your project is downloading.

Note: VEXcode AIM projects will download to Slot 1 on the robot by default. To change the slot number you download a project to, select the Slot icon and choose from the available slots.

Running a project

Once your project is downloaded successfully, select the Run button in the VEXcode AIM Toolbar to run the project on your robot.

Stopping a project

You can stop a running project at any time by selecting the Stop button in the VEXcode AIM Toolbar.
