Uploading Custom Images in VEXcode AIM

The VEX AIM Coding Robot allows for up to ten custom images to be used in a project. This article will walk you through where and how to upload and use custom images in VEXcode AIM.

Using the Control Panel to Upload Custom Images

Open the Control Panel by selecting the Gear icon.

Select the Images tab to view any previously uploaded images or load custom images.

Select the Load Images option. This loads the images currently saved to the connected robot to VEXcode AIM.

The Upload option for all slots will now be selectable. Select the Upload icon.

The Image Selector interface displays a grid of circular icons representing different images, including a soccer ball, barrels in different colors, a robot, numbered purple light bulbs, and letters A through F. The Image Selector will appear. Choose any preloaded image before selecting Send to Robot to add that image to the robot's available images.

You can also choose Upload Custom Image. Use the Select File button to open your device's file navigation.

Navigate through your device's file menu and select your custom image.

Note: Custom images must be PNGs, and no larger than 10MB.

The image will be uploaded, and will appear in the chosen slot. Note the slot numbers in the upper left corner. This information is needed when using the custom image in a project.

Deleting a Custom Image

To delete an image from the Control Panel, select the Trash icon.
