Connecting VEX AIM to VEXcode AIM - USB

To begin coding the VEX AIM Coding Robot, you'll first need to connect it to VEXcode AIM. Below are the steps for connecting and disconnecting the robot via a USB-C connection.

All USB-C connection options begin with connecting the robot and the computer.

Use a USB-C cable to connect the robot to a computer. The robot will automatically turn on. 

Connecting to App-Based VEXcode AIM

With the robot powered on and connected to the device via the USB-C cable, the Robot icon in the upper right corner of VEXcode AIM will automatically turn green.

Connecting to Web-Based VEXcode AIM

Select the Robot icon in the top right corner.

In the dropdown menu of VEXcode's robot, a red box is highlighted for Connect via usb.

Select Connect via USB from the menu.

macOS/Chromebook

Prompt for connecting the lowest number. A red box is highlighted for the Continue button.

Windows

Prompt for connecting the communication port. A red box is highlighted for the Continue button.

A prompt will appear based on your device. Select Continue.

macOS/Chromebook

Select the robot with the LOWEST ID number from the list of robots available. The lowest id number is highlighted in a red box.

Windows

Select Communications Port. The communication port is highlighted in a red box.

  • macOS/Chromebook: Select the robot with the LOWEST ID number from the list of robots available. 
  • Windows: Select Communications Port.

Select Connect once your choice is highlighted.
