The Remote Screen in the VEXcode AIM Control Panel displays the connected VEX AIM Coding Robot's screen in real time. You can interact with the robot's screen remotely, and copy or save images.
Note: To use the Remote Screen, the robot must be connected with a wired connection. The Remote Screen will not work over Bluetooth. See this article for more information on connecting your robot.
Accessing the Remote Screen
Open the Control Panel by selecting the gear icon in upper right corner of VEXcode AIM.
The Remote Screen section is located at the top of the window.
Using the Remote Screen
When opened, the Remote Screen will display the current image shown on the robot's screen. When the robot's screen image changes, the image will update in the Remote Screen.
To interact with the robot's screen via the Remote Screen, select the screen image as desired. The connected robot's screen will change, as will the image on the Remote Screen. View this video to see an example of selecting the Info button to view the robot's information.
To Pause the image on the screen, select Pause.
To start the image feed again, select Resume.
To save an image from the screen, select the Save Image button.
To copy an image from the screen, select the Copy Image button.
The image in the Remote Screen can be enlarged by selecting the arrows in the upper right corner.
To return the image to the default size, select the arrows again.
To close the Remote Screen, select the arrow to the right of the Remote Screen header to collapse the section of the Control Panel.
