The Drive mode is a default program built in to the VEX AIM Coding Robot. The Drive mode allows you to use the One Stick Controller to move the robot, use the Kicker, view emojis on the robot's screen and hear some of the robot's built in sounds without coding.
Starting Drive Mode
Make sure your robot and controller are charged and powered on, and your controller is paired with your robot.
Select the the Drive icon on the Dashboard to start the Drive mode. When started, the happy emoji will appear, and the two LEDs below the robot's power button will glow red.
If the controller and robot are not paired when turned on, this image will be shown when selecting the Drive mode. Select it to begin pairing.

Controlling the Robot
The controller’s joystick moves and rotates the robot.
Pushing the joystick forward or backward (axis 1) moves the robot forward or in reverse.
Moving the joystick left or right (axis 2) makes the robot rotate.
Angling the joystick between these axes makes the robot move in a curve.
The Left and Right buttons strafe, or slide, the robot left and right.
The Up button on the controller triggers AI Vision Sensor enabled movement. Pressing the Up button will make the robot turn and move to a barrel or sports ball. The robot will indicate is no cargo is detected.
The Down button on the controller activates the kicker to kick a sports ball or place a barrel.
