Setting the Team Number for a VEX IQ (2nd gen) Brain in VS Code

The VEX VS Code Extension enables us to set the team number for the VEX Brain, making it easier to identify which team the VEX Brain is associated with.

How to set a team number for the VEX Brain in VS Code

  • Connect the Brain to the VEX VS Code Extension. Click on the VEX icon on the VS Activity Bar.

  • The VEX view will open in the Side Bar. Hover the mouse over the team item listed under the system subcategory within the VEX DEVICE INFO category in the VEX view. The Pencil icon will appear next to the team item. Click on the Pencil Icon.

    Cursor is hovering over the Team option inside the System folder, and there is a Pencil icon next to it that is highlighted.
  • The Set Team Number window will prompt. Type a new Team Number for the VEX Brain in the Text Box and press the Enter key.

  • The new Team Number will be set for the VEX Brain.

    Team option is highlighted inside the System folder and it has now been changed to 000001.
