Using the Read Feature on Blocks in VEXcode EXP

The Read feature for Blocks is a text-to-speech tool that reads aloud the contents of Blocks in VEXcode. This feature improves accessibility by providing an audio option for users to interact with and understand their code. It's particularly useful for those who prefer or require auditory information processing.

Note: The Read feature is not available on Android mobile devices.

To use the Read feature in VEXcode, do the following:

VEXcode EXP When timer block is dragged from the Toolbox out into the Workspace. The block reads When timer is greater than 1 seconds.

Drag a Block from the Toolbox into the workspace.

VEXcode EXP Blocks project with the When timer block's context menu opened. The options from top to bottom read Duplicate, Disable Block, Delete Blocks, Block Help, Convert Block to Switch Block, and Read Block.

Right-click or long press to open the Block's context menu.

VEXcode EXP When timer block is shown with its context menu opened and the Read block option highlighted.

Select Read Block.

The When timer block is shown with a word bubble above and a speaker icon, indicating the words 'When timer greater than 1 seconds' are being read aloud.

VEXcode will read aloud the contents of the Block.
