Allow Camera Permissions for AI Vision Sensor on macOS in App-based VEXcode V5

When connecting the AI Vision Sensor to App-based VEXcode V5, your computer may already have permissions that block applications from accessing your cameras. Follow the steps below to learn where to navigate in your Mac computer to ensure camera permissions are enabled for your AI Vision Sensor.

Settings icon is highlighted on the macOS Dock at the bottom of the screen.

Select the gear icon on the bottom on your Desktop to open the computer's settings.

From the left navigation bar, select Privacy & Security.

From the list, select Camera.

VEXcode V5 option is shown in the list of Camera settings for apps. The VEXcode V5 option is set to off and is highlighted to indicate that it should be toggled on.

The toggle next to VEXcode V5 should be on. Select the toggle to turn it from grey (off) to blue (on).

Once you have turned on camera permissions for VEXcode V5, you will need to restart the application.

AI Vision Utility is opened in VEXcode V5. The AI Vision Sensor's video feed is shown and working. There is a green Connected status above which indicates that the connection is successful.

The AI Vision Sensor's camera view will now be visible in the AI Vision Utility.
