Using the V5 Battery Medic in VEX VS Code Extension

The VEX VS Code Extension allows us to use the V5 Battery Medic to troubleshoot the VEX V5 battery issues.

How to use the V5 Battery Medic in VS Code

  • Connect the battery-connected V5 Robot Brain to the VEX VS Code Extension. Click on the VEX icon on the Activity Bar.

  • The VEX view will open in the Side Bar. Hover the mouse over the V5 Brain Icon or the V5 Brain text under VEX DEVICE INFO in the VEX view.

  • Three icons will appear next to the V5 Brain text. Click on the Battery Medic Icon .

  • The VEX Extension will download and run the Battery Medic program. The Battery Diagnostics Screen will be displayed on the V5 Robot Brain.
